Your Kirky is much, much more than what you’ve seen on this website. It’s about all our collective journey and effort to making Kirkintilloch a great place to live, work and play.
If you, or an organisation you’re part of, want to join us then pledge your support today at
Creative Kirkintilloch welcomes all creatives based in and around Kirkintilloch. The group is a forum for sharing news of local events, supporting collaboration between creative individuals and groups and acts as a signposting point for those wanting to put on creative events in the area. Perhaps you’re a local artist working away in their studio? Or a ceramicist who wants to connect with others in the area? Or a band looking for more venues in which to play. Then do contact us on the following Facebook page.
Kirkintilloch business improvement district (BID)
The strength of BIDs is in their simplicity. By pooling and sharing resources – local businesses, working with other private, public and third sector partners, take a leading role in improving the local economic conditions by delivering an agreed plan beyond that delivered by local and national government. This is growing in Kirky – watch this space!
Kirkintilloch Action is a Your Kirky Facebook page which promotes opportunities to take part in community clean ups and shares results. Remarkably it is loads of fun! A couple of hours in the company of like-minded people, chats with passers-by, and we all do it because we love Kirky.
East Dunbartonshire ECO
A forum for discussion and action about local Eco and Environmental issues. Members are limited to the area in and around East Dunbartonshire to ensure the chat and actions remain relevant to the local area. Please feel free to share freely and suggest other ways we might push Environmental and Eco causes locally.
Volunteering in Kirky
EDVA is your local Third Sector Interface which provides support, help, expertise and assistance to third sector organisations and community groups in East Dunbartonshire. The third sector includes all voluntary and community based organisations, social enterprises and co-operatives which are non-profit making bodies. It also provides links to volunteering opportunities.
